Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman BR Naidu and executive officer Muddada Ravichandra formally met chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Amaravati and invited him to the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams, scheduled to begin at Tirumala on Sept 15.The TTD chairman and EO briefed the chief minister on the elaborate arrangements made for the conduct of the twin Brahmotsavams, scheduled to be held at Tirumala from Sept 15 to 23 and Oct 12 to 20.The TTD top brass also requested the chief minister to inaugurate the Sri Venkateswara Museum at Tirumala, which was modernised by the TTD at a cost of ₹145 crore with the support of TCS and MAP systems. The inauguration is planned on the sidelines of the annual Srivari Brahmotsavams.The SV Museum, spread over 1.2 lakh sq ft at Tirumala, features 14 interactive galleries showcasing more than 6,000 artefacts. These include the original copper plates containing Tallapaka Annamacharya’s sankeertanas, stone sculptures dating from the 8th to 19th centuries and various vahanams used during the temple’s annual Brahmotsavams in earlier years.Scheduled to be inaugurated by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sept 16, the SV Museum will showcase the historical, architectural and cultural significance of the Tirumala temple and its presiding deity, Lord Venkateswara.TTD chairman BR Naidu also requested the chief minister to flag off 25 new electric buses donated to the TTD by the Reliance Group. BR Naidu told the chief minister that the TTD now has the largest fleet of electric buses among major Hindu temple trusts in the country.Before launching various TTD development works on Sept 16, the chief minister will offer Pattu Vastrams (silk robes) on behalf of the state govt to the Tirumala temple, as per tradition, on the first day of the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams on Sept 15.Meanwhile, a team of Vedaparayanamdars led by Tirumala temple chief priests A Venugopala Deekshitulu and Kiran Deekshitulu, along with OSD Gururaja Swamy, rendered Vedasirvachanam for the chief minister and handed over Tirumala temple prasadam, including the sacred Srivari Laddu.
