Grads’ Poll: Mahayuti Manifesto Focuses On Edu And Job Opportunities In Vidarbha
Mahayuti releases manifesto at Nagpur press event

Nagpur: The Mahayuti manifesto released on Monday for the Nagpur graduates’ constituency election is built around eight areas with emphasis on education and job opportunities for graduates of entire Vidarbha. The manifesto was released by state revenue minister and Nagpur guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Union minister of state Ramdas Athawale. It covers education and skill development, jobs and digital skills, women graduates, district-wise job sectors across Vidarbha, dialogue with graduates, an accountable system, and foreign education, fellowships and international jobs.BJP’s Sudhakar Kohale is the alliance candidate. Bawankule said the seat carried special weight in the Legislative Council. “More than 2.5 lakh graduates will get their future issues solved through the legislature, and that is what makes this election important. Work on these areas has already begun under the Devendra Fadnavis and Narendra Modi govts, but it is our responsibility to get justice for the unemployed and graduates of Vidarbha,” he said.He said the document was not meant to end with polling day. “After six years we will give people an account of what we promised and what we did,” Bawankule said. The minister argued that Kohale would have the backing of govts at both the Centre and the state. “Whatever graduates’ issues Kohale raises in the House or brings to the govt, we have the capacity to resolve all of them,” he said.He said earlier MLCs such as the late Gangadhar Fadnavis, Union minister Nitin Gadkari and former MLC Anil Sole had kept their word. “A vote for Kohale is a vote that solves graduates’ problems. A vote for Congress is useful only for slogans, protests and going home,” said Bawankule on Congress candidate Abhijit Wanjarri, who won the seat in 2020.Kohale said the votes he is seeking are a loan which he will repay through his work. Bawankule said, “CM Devendra Fadnavis made a commitment that the govt will do whatever it needs to do to meet graduates’ expectations. Being guardian minister and revenue minister, I am also answerable for the promise Kohale has made here. We will take forward whatever issues the graduates raise,” he said.
