ATF prices cut for international airlines, commercial LPG prices up by Rs 42

NEW DELHI: Public sector oil marketing companies on Monday cut aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices for international flights by nearly 27%, offering relief to airlines and international travellers, while increasing the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 42, as global energy costs remained volatile amid disrupted supply flows from West Asia.ATF for international airlines will now cost $1,103 per kilolitre, down by $409 from $1,511.8 per kilolitre. Rates for international carriers had risen by $76.5 to $1,511.8 per kilolitre on May 1 after more than doubling in April to $1,435.3 per kilolitre. The prices of domestic LPG cylinders and ATF for domestic flights have remained unchanged. The 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 3,113.5 in the capital. Prices vary across cities due to differences in taxes. The price of the 5-kg portable cylinder, which is also sold at commercial rates, has been increased by Rs 11 to Rs 821.5.
