Kanpur: As part of preparations to contest seven Kanpur seats in the 2027 Assembly polls, AIMIM has begun strengthening its organisation and searching for potential candidates.Party city president Dildar Ghazi said that after the decision to contest the seven seats was taken at a review meeting, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi addressed a public meeting in Babupurwa on Sept 20. “Preparations are underway in Govind Nagar, Sisamau, Arya Nagar, Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur Cantonment, Maharajpur and Ghatampur in the run-up to the Assembly polls,” he said.The district president said the party’s leadership would take the final decision on candidates in accordance with its rules.
