Speaking during an appearance on the Nikki and Brie Show, Dupri recalled how she arrived at the WWE expecting a routine first day of work, but before arriving, she was asked to appear in a specific black outfit. According to Dupri, McMahon asked her to wear a black dress for joining the company on the first day, and the WWE star was caught off guard by the request because she did not anticipate anything related to her wardrobe during her introduction to WWE. Dupri explained that she was initially confused and nervous, as she had only joined the company and did not know what to expect from it. She eventually complied with the request and later met McMahon and discussed potential opportunities for her in WWE.Recalling her WWE journey, the WWE star spoke about how her career changed rapidly after WWE signed her just 30 days following a successful tryout. She relocated to Orlando, leaving behind the business she had recently opened.Following that, she began training at the WWE Performance Center, was unexpectedly transitioned into a valet role, suffered a fractured ankle during training, and then was called up to the main roster within weeks. I did not pack a black dress…I didn’t even think I packed heels because I couldn’t wear a heel.”Dupri further added about her first day, which was also very chaotic and fun, said, “I went to the mall. I found a black dress. I found these super high heels, and I can’t even step in them because my ankle won’t go like this [shows a downward motion with her hand]…It was originally supposed to be an in-ring promo, and I can’t get to the ring. So, we’re doing rehearsals, and I’m like, ‘If the ring shakes, I’m going to fall over.‘ They’re like, ‘We’ll just bring you out in the dark. It’ll be fine.’ That was a very chaotic day.” (source: Wrestling Inc.)The 28-year-old performer, whose real name is Sydney Zmrzel, joined WWE in 2021 after previously working as an NFL cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams.
