In a 2024 conversation with Vogue, Preity spoke frankly about the mental and emotional toll of going through repeated IVF cycles. The actor acknowledged that while she is known for her optimism, remaining positive through an intensely difficult phase was not always possible.She said, “I have good days and bad days just like everyone else. Sometimes it’s a struggle to always be happy-go-lucky in real life, especially when you’re going through a tough phase. I used to feel like that during my IVF cycles.”Preity further opened up about how overwhelming the experience could become, admitting that there were moments when she wanted to withdraw from everyone around her.She said, “It was very difficult to be smiley and nice all the time. On the professional front, Preity Zinta returned to the big screen after an eight-year gap with the period drama ‘Batwara 1947’. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, the film was set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition in Lahore. The film featured Preity alongside Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh. Despite reportedly being made on a budget of around Rs 150 crore, the film earned approximately Rs 49 crore at the box office.
