Akansha Chamola sets the record straight on her divorce from Gaurav Khanna

During her recent interaction with NewsX, the actress emphasised that divorce is ‘happening’ and she doesn’t understand why everyone keeps asking her about it repeatedly. “It is definitely happening. It was happening way before I entered the show. It was happening way before Gaurav entered ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi.’“It’s just that we haven’t been able to find the proper time to sit and sign the documents yet because of timing clashes, work schedules, and everything like that,” she added. She mentioned that what people see and feel, the reality of an actor’s life is very different from that. “Unlike what people think, life is not that easy for an actor because when you both are struggling and have your own schedules, not everything is the way you wanted in that sense,” said Akanksha.

Why did Gaurav Khanna not speak about the divorce during ‘Bigg Boss 19’

While a section of the audience is sceptical about the big reveal and believes that it is nothing more than a TRP and fame stunt, Akansha Chamola recently gave a clear timeline on the divorce, detailing why Gaurav didn’t speak about it during or after ‘Bigg Boss.’ She said they were separated but not divorced back then. She added that they decided to finally part ways legally before she joined ‘Lock Upp 2’ and he went for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi.“For us to genuinely decide that things are not working together, we took time. We took 18 months to decide that we are not meant to be each other, and marriage is something which is there for something now in the future. The decision to legally part ways happened two months prior,” Akanksha said. With this, she highlighted that while they were separated for more than a year, the divorce decision came way later.
