VinFast India today launched the new VinFast VF MPV 7 electric MPV in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 24.49 lakh. The bookings for the EV MPV have already begun. Interested customers can book the EV MPV online or by visiting their nearest dealership, and the deliveries are expected to begin soon. The launch is part of VinFast’s global expansion plans and reflects its focus on India’s growing electric vehicle market, particularly in the MPV segment. The VinFast VF MPV 7 will compete with other three-row models such as the Kia Carens Clavis EV, BYD eMax7 and Mahindra XEV 9S.Talking about the battery first, the VinFast VF MPV 7 is powered by a 60.13 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor that puts out 201 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. It has a claimed NEDC range of 450 km on a full charge and can sprint from 0-100 kph in 10 seconds. The EV gets 11 kW AC charging and 80 kW DC fast charging. Using the DC fast charger, the VF MPV 7’s battery can be charged from 10 to 70 per cent in around 30 minutes.

In terms of design, the VinFast VF MPV 7 features a boxy, upright design similar to the VF6 and VF7, adapted for MPV proportions. It gets vertically stacked LED headlamps and a full-width LED light bar at the front that meets at the centre with the VinFast logo, along with a clean bumper design. The side profile is defined by a long wheelbase, extended roofline and large glass area, along with 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels and slim black cladding around the wheel arches and lower doors. The India spec model could feature smaller 18-inch wheels for better comfort, and additional chrome elements are also expected to be incorporated.Moving inside, the EV MPV will get a functional cabin layout focused on space and usability, with a minimalist dashboard. It is likely to use leatherette upholstery and soft-touch materials, with metallic accents and a two-tone finish. It will feature a seven-seat layout with three rows, with electric adjustment for front seats and reclining second row seats. Boot space is expected to vary with seat configuration, with foldable rear seats allowing expansion up to around 1,240 litres. At the rear, it continues with a full-width LED light bar similar to the front DRLs, paired with a simple tailgate and a black-finished bumper.In terms of features, the EV MPV gets a large 10.1-inch touchscreen that also doubles as the instrument cluster, HUD display, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, PM2.5 air filter, a 4-speaker sound system, type C charging ports, push button start and more. Safety features will include multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, stability control, electronic parking brake, hill hold assist, and level 2 ADAS is also expected.
