Ranchi: The Union govt has allocated 11 data and artificial intelligence (AI) labs to be set up in Jharkhand at its ITIs and polytechnics under the ‘IndiaAI Mission’, of which six institutions have been identified, Union minister of state for electronics and information technology, Jitin Prasada, said in Rajya Sabha while replying to a questions raised by MP Parimal Nathwani.Two artificial intelligence centres of excellence (AI-CoEs) would be established in Jharkhand under the IndiaAI Startup Financing pillar to strengthen the regional AI innovation ecosystem and provide focused support to start-ups, MSMEs, and academic institutions in the state, Prasada said.The IndiaAI Fellowship, also under the FutureSkills pillar, is aimed at building India‘s AI talent pipeline by supporting undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral scholars pursuing AI research across the country. Jharkhand has so far been awarded 8 fellowships, comprising 2 Undergraduate and 6 PhD Research Fellowships, it said.
