Hubballi: Two men arrested in a ganja consumption and sale case registered at Bendigeri police station have been convicted and sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment each.Police commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabrao said in a press release that the second additional district and sessions court on Saturday also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each on the two convicts.The case was registered on April 9, 2023. During the operation, police seized 1.1kg of ganja, valued at Rs 11,500, from the accused.The commissioner said the prosecution effectively presented the case before the court, resulting in the conviction of Basavaraj Bhajantri, 31, and Vijay Ganesh, 28, both residents of Gangadhara Nagar in Hubballi.
