Tom Hardy’s future on the hit series ‘MobLand’ is reportedly facing uncertainty, following allegations about his bad behaviour on set. Amid news of the actor’s exit from Season 3, new reports have shed light on what went on behind the scenes.According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Hardy allegedly had producers fuming with repeated delays on set. The report claims that the actor “refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time.”The source further alleged that Hardy’s actions left several cast members, including veteran actors Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, waiting for hours. Dubbing the wait game as some sort of ‘power play’, the report stated that, “Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others waiting is career suicide, I would wager.”Reports about Hardy’s future on the series intensified after claims surfaced suggesting the actor may have been removed from the next season which is yet to be announced. However, no final decision has been made regarding Hardy’s involvement in the possible future episodes. Another source close to the production revealed that filming for Season 3 is tentatively expected to begin in September, once it gets the green light.Last week, a separate report claimed that Hardy had also been attempting to alter dialogue and offer script notes to writer Jez Butterworth and series creator Ronan Bennett. In the crime drama, co-directed by Guy Ritchie, Hardy plays a leading role as fixer, Harry Da Souza, working for the powerful Harrigan crime family. Brosnan portrays family patriarch Conrad Harrigan, while Mirren plays matriarch Maeve Harrigan. The ensemble cast also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Toby Jones and Janet McTeer among others.Previously, Hardy’s bad behaviour on set hit headlines during his time on the ‘Mad Max’ sets. George Miller even addressed the chatter around tensions flaring between Hardy and leading lady Charlize Theron. The two however, still managed to put up stellar performances that won the film several Oscars that year.
