Shivya Pathania says Spectra is about real human journeys and honest emotions

Ek Rishta Sajhedari actress Shivya Pathania is all set to host the reality show Spectra, a family-friendly series produced by Harsh Mainra. Built around the idea of “No Drama. No Fight. Only Fundamentally Right,” the show follows seven master artists travelling across the Himalayas. Speaking about the experience, Shivya said, “I’ve been fortunate to be part of projects that connected with audiences, but Spectra feels different. I wasn’t guiding competition; I was witnessing journeys. It required a lot more listening than speaking and being present in moments rather than directing them.”She added, “It doesn’t try to compete for attention. It invites you to slow down, feel, and connect. No drama, no fights, just fundamentally right.” Talking about the contestants, Shivya shared, “We approached the contestants as individuals, not participants. Off camera, especially, it was important to create a space where they felt safe enough to just be themselves. When people express themselves through art, you see parts of them they may not even say out loud. That honesty stays with you.”Producer Harsh Mainra said the concept emerged from a “fatigue with noise.” He explained, “We’re surrounded by content that constantly demands reaction, but very little that allows reflection. With Spectra, we didn’t want to remove drama for the sake of it; we wanted to replace it with depth.”Reflecting on filming in the mountains, Shivya concluded, “There’s a certain stillness there that changes you. You stop performing, even unknowingly, and just start being. Some of the most powerful moments were when nothing was being said, just felt.”
