Noida DM wants medical camps, mobile vans in industrial areas
Hospitals have been asked to deploy mobile medical vans in industrial clusters, conduct eye examinations, distribute spectacles to those in need, and facilitate treatment for conditions such as cataract

Noida: The district administration on Saturday directed private hospitals to organise regular medical camps in industrial areas to improve healthcare access for workers, and asked officials to submit a plan to empanel more hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.At a meeting with chief medical officer Dr Narendra Kumar and Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) director Dr Rakesh Gupta, district magistrate Medha Roopam said providing quality healthcare to workers was a shared responsibility.“We have urged all private hospitals to utilise their CSR funds to organise regular medical camps in industrial areas. Special facilities shall be ensured for women workers at these camps,” she said.

Hospitals were directed to ensure camps include OPD services and screening for serious illnesses such as breast and cervical cancer. They were also asked to deploy mobile medical vans in industrial clusters, conduct eye examinations, distribute spectacles to those in need, and facilitate treatment for conditions such as cataract.The DM stressed the need to extend health check-up camps and mobile medical services to construction sites, and asked all private hospitals to prepare detailed micro-plans in coordination with the health department and appoint nodal officers. “Their details are to be shared for effective implementation,” she said.Health department officials were also directed to ensure adequate availability of doctors, medicines and equipment at district hospitals, community health centres, primary health centres and GIMS.Dr DK Gupta, chairman of Felix Hospital in Sector 137, said the hospital regularly conducted health camps across the city and would deploy mobile vans in industrial areas. “This will not only provide basic check-ups but also promote early diagnosis, preventive care and health awareness,” he said.
