It seems that Meghan Markle is focused on building her own brand. According to recent reports, the Duchess of Sussex allegedly rejected a ‘role’ offered by the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry. Markle and the Prince have been busy living a private, non-royal life following their return to the UK after first moving to Montecito in 2020.

The Prince reportedly offered Markle a role to work alongside him on his public schedules; however, the Duchess of Sussex rejected the offer from her husband. Closer reported that the ‘Suits’ alum is more focused on creating her own brand identity and does not wish to follow along with Prince Harry on his various schedules. A statement from the report read: “She’s focused on the kids and her brand, and truth be told, she’s not interested in following him around like some Stepford wife.”The report also added, “Her view is that they should divide and conquer, and Harry agrees, but it does mean a whole lot more pressure on his shoulders and absolutely zero time to himself because the moment he’s free from work, he’s got to rush home to give Meghan a break from parenting duties.”The outlet also shared that Markle is determined to make the most of their return to the UK and that she is confident enough in herself to know that she will be able to win over a lot of people. She is also countering online comments and rumours about her acceptance in the UK, hoping instead to change things for the better.
Prince Harry is supportive of Meghan Markle’s decision
However, there is no bad blood between the married couple regarding the matter, and Prince Harry is even supportive and respectful towards Markle’s decision. Another statement, however, cited that this puts a lot of pressure on him. “It does mean a whole lot more pressure on his shoulders and absolutely zero time to himself because the moment he’s free from work, he’s got to rush home to give Meghan a break from parenting duties,” another statement revealed.Since the family of four’s move to the UK, Markle has kept a low profile for the most part, while the Prince has appeared at multiple public events to continue with his work. “He was adamant that this move would allow him to bring in more money, so he’s running from one gig to the next, and at the same time he’s working all his contacts to find other opportunities, and not just for himself; he wants to open doors for Meghan too. He promised her he would,” another statement from the outlet shared.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had visited the UK earlier this year to attend the Invictus Games event. The couple was accompanied by their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five. They met King Charles and Queen Camila in a private meeting, and Prince Harry even took his family to his mother, Princess Diana’s, ancestral home and her final resting place.
