Polish streamer Patryk Garkowski, better known online as Łatwogang, has made internet history after his 9-day charity livestream raised more than 211 million złoty for children fighting cancer. The fundraiser was held for the Cancer Fighters Foundation and quickly became one of the biggest online charity events ever seen in Europe. The nonstop YouTube stream ran from an apartment in Warsaw and brought in support from across Poland. Football stars, singers, influencers, and thousands of regular viewers joined in. Reports from TVP World and Aftonbladet confirmed that the stream crossed the previous charity livestream record once held by YouTuber MrBeast, who had raised a huge amount in 2025 for clean water projects. This time, Łatwogang’s campaign went even further.

Patryk Garkowski’s Łatwogang stream turns into a national movement for children with cancer

What started as a simple fundraising idea became a national event. Łatwogang streamed live for nine straight days while a song made by Polish rapper Bedoes 2115 and a young cancer patient named Maja played in the background as a symbol of hope and strength. The original goal was much smaller, but donations kept growing fast. Celebrities began joining the livestream, which pushed the campaign even further. Football star Robert Lewandowski donated money and also offered a signed Barcelona shirt. He told Garkowski, “You are doing a fantastic job.” Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny also joined and promised more support if donation targets were reached. The livestream also included symbolic acts from supporters. More than 80 people shaved their heads live to show support for children battling cancer, while others got tattoos during the event. This made the stream feel less like entertainment and more like a shared mission across the country. TVP World reported that the fundraiser passed the Guinness-level charity milestone, while international attention grew after people noticed that even MrBeast’s previous record had been beaten. MrBeast later acknowledged that his charity livestream record had been surpassed.Cancer Fighters, the foundation receiving the money, supports children and families dealing with cancer treatment. The money raised will help with treatment costs, medical support, and care for young patients across Poland. For many viewers, this was not just about breaking a number. It became a reminder that social media can still be used for something powerful, helping real people when they need it most.
