The episode begins with the Virani family preparing for Samaira and Sid’s engagement ceremony, while Vaishnavi and Tulsi look over everything and get emotional. Samaira and Sid’s engagement ceremony brings everyone together
The scene shifts to Tripti and Subhash arriving at Shanti Niketan with Sid and the entire family. The Viranis welcome everyone into their home, with Subhash and Karan hugging, while Tripti hugs Tulsi.Later, Tripti approaches Tulsi and comments on how she will finally be connected to Shanti Niketan, taunting her by adding that history seems to be repeating itself. She also jokes about how much she likes the house and how she should move back in, though Tulsi tells her to stop dreaming since she is here to take her daughter-in-law. Tripti makes it clear that she has no intention of dismissing the bad blood between her and the Viranis and openly challenges Tulsi that no one will soon be able to stop her from coming into Shanti Niketan, not even her.As the families gather in the living room for the ring exchange, someone suddenly appears in the doorway with a suitcase and tells everyone to stop. While Tulsi smiles, Tripti looks on in shock and drops the fruit basket in her hand. The mysterious woman reveals herself to be Sid’s bua, Dadi Bhai. She taunts Tripti and Subhash for not telling her about Sid’s engagement but then shocks everyone by thanking Tulsi for telling her about everything at the last minute.A flashback shows Tulsi asking Samaira whether there is any other elder person in Sid’s family, since they need to prepare the gifts accordingly. Samaira dismissively tells her that he often talks about his bua, who lives in Kolkata; however, she does not visit often because she is extremely strict and does not get along with Tripti. Hearing this, Tulsi smiles and tracks her down, inviting her to the event. In the present time, Tripti blames Tulsi for creating a rift by inviting Dadi Bhai to the engagement party; however, Tulsi quickly dodges the allegations and tells her that she simply wanted someone older from their family to bless the union. She also impresses Dadi Bhai by speaking fluent Bengali.The families quickly insist that they should continue with the engagement. As the parents both give their blessings to Samaira and Sid, Tripti tells everyone that since the boy is from a Bengali background, the rituals should be performed according to Bengali tradition, leaving everyone shocked. Karan gets angry at Tulsi for inviting Dad Bhai since they will have to change everything; however, Tulsi handles the situation and tells everyone that Samaira’s Gujarati roots also need to be respected in this case.
