The historic London townhouse where Johnny Depp lived while pursuing his passion for painting is now available to rent or buy. Located on D’Arblay Street in Soho, the Georgian property is being offered for £4,250 (US$5,672) a week or £18,417 a month, while prospective buyers can purchase it for £4.35 million, according to Mansion Global.Depp rented the property in 2024, according to estate agents Russell Simpson. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor reportedly also rented an art studio during his stay as he devoted more time to his work as a painter.

The stucco-fronted residence dates to around 1740 and extends across five floors, covering more than 3,400 square feet. Despite its age, the property retains original features including wooden beams, exposed brickwork, fireplaces and panelled walls.Hermione Russell, director and head of Mayfair sales at Russell Simpson, said the survival of so much of the original 1740s structure makes the property particularly rare. She highlighted its Georgian panelling, traces of the original paint scheme and original staircase.

The house includes a reception room, a kitchen with wooden flooring, fitted units and a skylight, along with a double drawing room featuring three south-facing window bays. Another room can be used as either a dining room or study.

The townhouse is currently arranged as a three-bedroom home, although the listing says it could accommodate up to five bedrooms. It includes a full-floor primary suite and an en-suite bedroom with a vaulted ceiling on the top floor.The lower-ground floor contains another bedroom as well as a sauna, cellar and storage space. The property also has two terraces, including a roof terrace with wooden decking and views across Soho.The home entered the rental market last month and has been available for purchase since July.
