Gorakhpur: Gola police registered an FIR against a man for allegedly assaulting a government school headmaster after his daughter was punished for arriving late to school.According to the complaint, students who arrived late for the morning assembly on Sept 1 were punished as part of disciplinary measures. The girl, a Class VI student, was among them.Police said the girl’s father later came to the school and entered the headmaster’s office, where an argument broke out over the punishment imposed on his daughter.The dispute allegedly escalated when he assaulted the headmaster and tore his T-shirt.Gola police station in-charge Chandraprakash Pandey said an FIR has been registered in the matter and further action will be taken after the investigation.Arjumand Bano
