Hazaribag: A total of 17 accused persons and proclaimed offenders who were evading arrest in various criminal cases have been arrested during a special operation conducted by Hazaribag police across the district on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.Acting on the directions of Hazaribag SP Aman Kumar, a total of 28 teams, comprising 91 DSPs, police inspectors and station house officers, conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations across the district.SP Aman Kumar said, “The operation was part of the district police’s continuing efforts to track down absconding offenders and strengthen law and order. Similar drives would be conducted regularly to ensure effective action against criminals attempting to evade the legal process.”The district police also appealed to residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by sharing information about criminals or absconding accused hiding in their localities.
