Steps
1. Install the BIS Care app from the official App Store.2. Locate the HUID number on hallmarked gold jewellery or the licence number on the BIS-marked product.3. In the app, open Verify HUID or Verify Licence Details.4. Enter the number exactly as printed on the product.5. Match the details — purity, product type, licence, and seller information — with what the jeweller tells you.
Note
Always perform this verification before purchase, especially for high-value jewellery. A hallmark symbol alone is not sufficient — if the HUID and licence details don’t match, the product may not be genuine.
