Madhubani: Police have busted a flesh trade racket allegedly operating from a rest house on the upper floors of a shop along NH-27 under Sakri police station area in Madhubani district, rescuing three young women and arresting four accused during a raid.According to Madhubani SSP Yogendra Kumar, police received a tip-off on Friday from a social worker associated with Madhubani Nyay Kendra of Bihar Seva Samiti that women were being brought from outside and forced into prostitution at the rest house in Narpatinagar.Acting on the information, a special team led by the SDPO (Sadar-I) conducted a raid around 4.40pm. The team included officials from Sakri police station, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), the women’s police station, a forensic team and additional personnel.During the operation, police rescued three young women from rooms on the second and third floors of the building and took them into safe custody. Four men, identified as Saurabh Mistri, Dinesh Kumar Mahto, Dinesh Kumar and Pappu Paswan, were arrested, while two to three others reportedly fled.The rescued women alleged that the racket’s operators lured women from Kolkata and other places with promises of love, marriage or jobs before forcing them into prostitution.A forensic team videographed the premises and seized materials as evidence. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The arrested accused have been sent to judicial custody, while raids are underway to nab the main accused, Alamgir Sheikh alias Bengali.
