Ludhiana: Having stepped up its scrutiny of Greater Mohali Area Developmenty Authority, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Wednesday carried out a search at the residence of Punjab housing and urban development minister Hardeep Singh Mundian’s nephew in Sahnewal near Ludhiana.Mundian, MLA from Sahnewal, is Punjab housing and urban development minister and Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (Gmada) functions under his portfolio’s department.Sources said the central agency’s action is reportedly part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities linked to GMADA. They added that an ED team comprising at least five members reached the house of Mundian’s nephew in the afternoon.Sources added the exact reason for the search and whether anything was seized would be known once the ED completed its operation and issued a statement.
