Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration on Thursday issued a traffic route map for the city to ensure smooth traffic movement during Durga Puja. The restrictions came into effect on Thursday and will remain in force till Oct 21.Auto-rickshaws coming to Sakchi roundabout from Mango will proceed via Mango bus stand chowk, MGM hospital, Sheetla Mandir, and Delhi Darbar hotel. Those travelling from Sakchi to Mango will take the route via Bengal Club, Old Court turning, and Marine Drive turning, using only the old bridge. One-way traffic arrangements will be enforced on both routes.Two-wheelers, three-wheelers and small four-wheelers travelling from Sakchi roundabout towards Bhalubasa and Baridih will use Straight Mile road.Vehicles, except two-wheelers, heading from Sakchi and Mango towards Baridih, Sidgora, Bhalubasa, Agrico, Telco, and Golmuri will take the route via the southern side of Mango bridge and Bhuiyandih road.Vehicles heading towards Govindpur will proceed via Neeldih roundabout, ISWP, Telco main gate and Labour Bureau chowk.Vehicles from Telco and Tube gate heading towards Star Talkies and Tatanagar railway station will take the route via Namdi road, Beena road, Mona road and BMP school, proceeding through TRF ground, Star Talkies and Burmamines railway overbridge.The old Kharkai bridge connecting Bistupur and Adityapur will remain closed to all vehicles, with only pedestrians allowed. Vehicles travelling between Maila Tanki and Adityapur will use the new Kharkai bridge via Voltas roundabout.Vehicles between Sonari and Kadma will use the Kadma-Sonari link road.Those travelling from Sonari towards Circuit House will proceed via Sonari airport chowk and the DC’s residence, while vehicles heading from Circuit House roundabout towards Sonari will use the road passing the military camp.Vehicles from Circuit House, Ashiana Garden, and Sonari via the military camp will turn at Road No. 3 in the Circuit House area before proceeding towards Sakchi and Bistupur.Vehicles heading from Bistupur and Sakchi towards Rankini Temple and the Rani Kudar Durga Puja pandal will travel via TSUISL office roundabout and Dhatkidih to the triangular junction near Ganesh Puja Ground in Kadma.Vehicles from Ganesh Puja Ground towards Kadma and Gopal Maidan will use the Kadma-Sonari link road via Circuit House roundabout.Those heading towards the railway station overbridge from Sakchi, Golmuri, and Telco will use HNM Gate, Tube Gate roundabout, BOC Gas turn and BPM High School turn before reaching Burmamines railway overbridge.
