Dreame X60 Ultra Complete robot vacuum cleaner review: Everyday cleaning made super easy

Rating – 4/5Robot vacuums are designed to take some of the effort out of everyday cleaning, but can a machine at this price do enough to reduce the need for manual cleaning? Dreame is betting on a combination of powerful suction, AI-powered navigation, hot-water mop cleaning and a slim design that can reach under low furniture. The company recently launched Dreame X60 Ultra Complete in India that an also cross certain raised surfaces that may stop other robot vacuums. At Rs 1,34,999, the Dreame X60 Ultra Complete sits firmly in the premium end of India’s robot vacuum cleaner market. While the features sound promising on paper, but the real question is whether they make a noticeable difference in Indian homes, where dust, hair, food spills and different floor surfaces can make daily cleaning challenging. We look at what the Dreame X60 Ultra Complete offers and whether its features justify the premium price.

Design and build

The Dreame X60 Ultra Complete takes a different approach to robot vacuum design, with a slim profile that allows it to reach spaces where bulkier models may struggle. Measuring just 7.95cm in height, it is designed to clean under low furniture, including beds and sofas. Its retractable DToF/LDS navigation sensor helps the robot maintain this low profile, although the stated clearance requirements depend on the navigation mode and the space available under the furniture. The design also focuses on handling obstacles around the home. Dreame’s ProLeap system allows the robot to cross single steps up to 4.5cm and double-layer obstacles up to 8.8cm under specified conditions. Its Triple-Wheel AgiLift chassis can handle double-layer thresholds up to 30mm and lift the chassis when moving onto carpets. The robot also features an extendable side brush and mop to reach corners and edges that can be difficult for round robot vacuums to clean. Its base station houses the cleaning and maintenance functions, including automatic dust emptying, mop washing with water heated to up to 100°C under laboratory conditions, and hot-air mop drying. Talking about the base station, it has a premium design with slightly golden finish that fits into modern homes.

Performance

Dreame X60 Ultra Complete is designed to make everyday cleaning less dependent on human intervention, and that is where it makes a strong impression. The vacuum is efficient, and once the cleaning schedule and settings are configured, it can handle routine cleaning on its own. Its custom cleaning modes are another highlight, particularly the option to select specific zones instead of running the robot across the entire house every time. This is useful for targeting areas that need more frequent cleaning.

Powerful suction for everyday dirt

The robot offers up to 35,000Pa of suction, supported by Dreame’s HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0. The brush combines bristled rubber and TPU rubber rollers to pick up dust and debris from hard floors and carpets. Suction levels can also be adjusted through the app, giving users more control over how the robot cleans different surfaces. In everyday use, the overall cleaning efficiency is a key strength, although the advertised suction figure is based on the company’s laboratory tests and does not, by itself, indicate how much dirt will be collected in every situation. The X60 Ultra Complete uses two 120-degree cameras, an LED light and its OmniSight system to identify obstacles and plan its route. Dreame says the system can recognise more than 280 types of objects. This is intended to help the robot navigate around everyday items rather than simply following a fixed cleaning path. One of the more interesting features is proactive illumination dirt detection. The robot uses light to make difficult-to-spot dirt, hair and light-coloured liquid messes easier to identify. It can then adapt its cleaning approach to the area. This is particularly relevant for debris that may not be obvious under normal room lighting. For mopping, the robot uses two rotating pads that spin at up to 230RPM and apply 15N of downward pressure. Dreame’s system is designed to tackle everyday marks on hard floors, while the base station washes the mop pads using water heated to up to 100°C under laboratory conditions. The pads are also dried with hot air after cleaning. This automated maintenance is useful as it reduces the need to wash and dry the mop pads manually after every cleaning cycle. The 7.95cm-thin body is designed to reach beneath low furniture, while the retractable navigation sensor helps the robot maintain its low profile. Its extendable side brush and mop can also reach towards corners and edges, areas that round robot vacuums can sometimes miss. For homes with raised thresholds, the ProLeap system is rated to cross single steps up to 4.5cm and double-layer obstacles up to 8.8cm under specified conditions. The chassis can also lift to handle double-layer thresholds up to 30mm and adapt to carpets. These features are intended to reduce the need to move the robot between rooms manually. The all-in-one PowerDock is central to the hands-free experience. It automatically empties the robot’s dust box, washes and dries the mop pads, refills the robot’s water tank and dispenses cleaning solution. Dreame claims up to 100 days of hands-free dust emptying, depending on usage and conditions. While the dock adds convenience, but it does not eliminate all maintenance. The dust bag, water tanks and other components will still need periodic attention.

Verdict

At Rs 1,34,999, the Dreame X60 Ultra Complete is a premium robot vacuum cleaner that makes a strong case for itself through efficient cleaning and automation. Its powerful suction, custom zone-cleaning modes, slim design and ability to handle certain raised thresholds make it a versatile option for everyday home cleaning. The self-cleaning dock also reduces the effort involved in maintaining the vacuum and mop. However, the high price means it will appeal mainly to buyers who value convenience and want to minimise their involvement in daily cleaning. While it still requires periodic maintenance, its ability to handle routine cleaning with minimal human intervention is a major advantage.
