Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Police’s technology-driven pavilion at the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 in Greater Noida has drawn more than 15,000 visitors in the first three days, with students, young professionals, business delegates and international guests crowding in to view the force’s latest tools for smart policing.Located in Hall 4 at India Expo Centre & Mart, the stall showcases technologies used in cybercrime investigation, surveillance, traffic enforcement, forensics and emergency response, said officials. The exhibit is positioned as a window into the state’s push toward technology-enabled law enforcement and public-safety systems.Cyber Help Desk has emerged as the biggest attraction, with police teams briefing visitors on digital arrest scams, online financial fraud and crimes conducted through social media and messaging platforms. Demonstrations of digital forensic tools used to extract and analyse electronic evidence have been especially popular among students interested in how cyber offenders are traced and prosecuted.Traffic and road-safety devices, including breath analysers and speed radar guns, have also attracted steady interest. DG Dial 112 Vinod Kumar Singh said cameras were integrated into breath analysers in 2023 to strengthen evidence collection and reduce disputes during enforcement. Visitors are being shown live demonstrations to understand how technology supports traffic policing.Body-worn cameras and mobile data terminals are on display to explain real-time documentation and information access for officers on patrol.The specialised operations section, featuring equipment from ATS and STF, includes sniper rifles, close-quarter battle gear, tactical communication systems and bomb-disposal devices. A DRDO-developed rocket launcher and a firefighting-cum-rescue robot have been among the most photographed exhibits.The pavilion also highlights initiatives such as 1090 Women Power Line, Mission Shakti, Pink Booths, CCTV-based surveillance, Intelligent Transport Systems and upgraded forensic capabilities.
