NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to a cook arrested in connection with the fire at a hotel in Malviya Nagar that claimed 22 lives last month.Additional sessions Judge Samar Vishal allowed the bail plea of Keshar Negi, who was arrested last month.The arrest came after investigators alleged that his negligence contributed to the blaze that broke out on June 3, news agency PTI reported.The fire occurred at Flourish Stays Bed and Breakfast in Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar, prompting investigators to detain and question several people associated with the establishment.Hotel owner Lavkesh Bajaj was also arrested and charged with offences including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.Officials had earlier said the building was operating without a fire no-objection certificate (NOC).(With agency inputs)
