Party leaders argued that a 1:3 ratio would ordinarily mean 795 candidates, while the commission’s position, as reported, is that 187 candidates did not meet the prescribed minimum qualifying marks.Former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel had demanded that the interviews be deferred until concerns raised over the evaluation process were addressed. His demands included making answer sheets available to candidates, providing evaluated response sheets to candidates who were not shortlisted, laying down criteria for evaluators, releasing model answers for the main examination, and conducting re-evaluation.The Congress has also raised allegations of discrepancies in the evaluation process. These remain allegations by the opposition and have not been established as findings against the commission.
