Centre nominates 7 MPs to Institute Bodies of new AIIMS

NEW DELHI: The Centre has nominated seven Members of Parliament to the Institute bodies of seven new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, giving the MPs a formal role in the statutory bodies overseeing the institutions.The nominations, notified by the Union health ministry on September 15, cover AIIMS at Awantipora, Bathinda, Bhopal, Guwahati, Jodhpur, Vijaypur and Madurai.The MPs nominated are Gulam Ali for AIIMS Awantipora, Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal for AIIMS Bathinda, Rajneesh Kumar Agrawal for AIIMS Bhopal, Birendra Prasad Baishya for AIIMS Guwahati, Madan Rathore for AIIMS Jodhpur, Sat Paul Sharma for AIIMS Vijaypur and I S Inbadurai for AIIMS Madurai.
