Lucknow: The newly-appointed Congress’ UP in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam on Thursday outlined his vision and roadmap for strengthening the party organisation ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.Addressing party workers in Lucknow, Gautam called for collective efforts to build the organisation from the booth level and asserted that a strong grassroots network would be the key to the party’s revival.“Hardworking and dedicated workers would be recognised and given greater responsibilities,” he said, signalling a performance-based organisational approach. He added that discipline and collective efforts will pave the way for party’s return to office in Uttar Pradesh in 2027.He said Congress will continue the fight to protect the Constitution and accused the BJP of spreading misinformation and pursuing policies that have weakened education and employment opportunities.Gautam said the Congress will build its campaign around the Constitution drafted under BR Ambedkar’s leadership and asserted that the party has always stood for social justice and equal opportunities.He urged workers to take the party’s message to every village and booth, saying the Congress must counter misinformation and reconnect with Dalits, backward classes, minorities and other deprived sections through sustained public outreach.Attacking the BJP govt over unemployment, examination paper leaks and the rising cost of education, Gautam said govt has failed to provide opportunities to youth.
