Actor Bharatt Bhatia, known for shows such as Tose Naina Milaike 2, Patiala Babes and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, has joined Dilon Ki Ram Leela, which actors Eijaz Khan, Manasi Salvi, Mishkat Varma and Aastha Sharma in pivotal roles.Talking about the show, Bharatt says, “I am personally very excited. There are many new faces and popular leads taking on experimental romantic and emotional drama roles. I hope the audience enjoys the chemistry between the different relationships and the challenges the characters face. Initially, I will be seen in a positive shade which will soon turn negative,” he says.Bharatt admits he has a particular liking for characters that aren’t entirely black or white. “I enjoy grey characters in serials because they feel real, complex and unpredictable. They also make the story more interesting and exciting as compared to simple characters, which at some point can start to feel boring. For me, I prefer grey characters more, as no one knows what they will do next.”The actor also acknowledges the uncertainty that comes with television, especially when short-format shows end unexpectedly. “You get used to the story, the character and the routine. When it stops, you feel a sudden drop in joy and an emptiness in life, as it becomes the identity of your life and your comfort zone. So it’s a little depressing, but it’s okay. It’s the same with every actor and we are used to it.”For Bharatt, Dilon Ki Ram Leela also feels like a significant career milestone. “It’s the biggest achievement for me. As you all know, for an actor, it’s really hard to meet the requirements for a show.”
