Kurukshetra: A 34-year-old man died after an electric vehicle (EV) collided head-on with his motorcycle on National Highway-152 near Lotni village in Kurukshetra district on Friday night.The deceased, Ranjit Singh of Kheri Shahidan, who ran a garment shop in Ismailabad, suffered a severed arm in the crash. He was first taken to a private hospital near Pehowa and later referred to a multispecialty hospital in Kurukshetra, where doctors declared him dead.According to complainant and eyewitness Rashpal Singh, the EV was speeding when it hit Ranjit’s motorcycle, throwing him and the bike into a roadside pit.The EV’s tyre was punctured in the collision, but its driver allegedly fled. Rashpal followed the vehicle and noted its registration number, which helped police trace it.Ranjit is survived by his wife and daughter. Police said his body was handed over to the family.
