Reflecting on the experience of working on ‘Biwi No. 1’, Anil Kapoor revealed that the film strengthened his friendship with Salman Khan over the years. He wrote, “Some films feel special, even as you’re making them. ‘Biwi No. 1’ was truly one such film. A role that was originally portrayed by Kamal Haasan, it gave me a season full of awards, a friendship with Salman that only grew stronger, and Tabu!”The actor also mentioned that both his collaborations with Tabu turned out to be blockbuster successes and continue to enjoy love from audiences decades later. Speaking further about his equation with Tabu, Anil Kapoor added, “Two films together, two blockbusters, both still living rent-free in people’s hearts even after 27 years… That’s pretty precious in my books!” The chemistry and comic timing of the cast remain one of the reasons why ‘Biwi No. 1’ is still remembered as one of David Dhawan’s most entertaining films.
