AIIMS Deoghar gets dedicated power substation

Dumka: AIIMS Deoghar has started receiving electricity from a dedicated 132/33 kV grid substation, located close to the campusexpected to improve the reliability and quality of power supply to the healthcare institution. The 50 MVA substation was set up in Devipur, close to the AIIMS Deoghar campus, by Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited (JUSNL) and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) to strengthen the institute’s power infrastructure.AIIMS Deoghar said on Monday the facility fulfilled a longstanding requirement for a dedicated power source, with uninterrupted electricity critical to patient care and the operation of medical equipment. The institute earlier drew power from Daburgram substation through a 17-18km-long feeder. The dedicated substation and feeder have substantially shortened the supply route, reducing transmission-related disruptions and improving reliability.Hospital authorities said the upgraded infrastructure would help ensure uninterrupted healthcare services and provide a more stable and dependable supply for the institution’s expanding operations.
