Ahmedabad: A 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed repeatedly by a man after an argument near Sabarmati toll naka on Tuesday evening. The teenager suffered injuries to his chest, back and arms and was admitted to the ICU of a hospital. His friend was also injured while trying to intervene.According to a police complaint filed by the teenager’s mother, the knife attack occurred around 7pm on Tuesday when her son had gone to meet his friend at his residence in the locality.The two were standing outside the friend’s house on the second floor of an apartment block when a resident allegedly brushed past the teenager. When the teenager asked him to watch where he was walking, the man allegedly became angry and began abusing him.The teenager objected to the abuse, after which the man allegedly threatened to kill him and pulled out a knife from his waist. When the man tried to stab him, the teenager raised his right hand in defence and sustained an injury to his palm.The man then allegedly stabbed the teenager multiple times, causing wounds to the left side of his chest, back and left upper arm. The teenager collapsed in a pool of blood.When his friend tried to intervene, the man allegedly stabbed him in the fingers of his right hand and on the back of his neck before fleeing.Residents gathered after hearing the commotion and took both injured youths to a hospital in an autorickshaw.The teenager’s mother, who runs a vegetable vending business with her husband near a police station, learned about the incident from her younger son and approached police.
