MUMBAI: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released the second list of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for the 3-Year LLB course for the academic year 2026-27. Of the 29,898 students who submitted their preferences for the second round, 9,314 have been offered seats.A total of 14,101 seats were available for the second round. The latest allotment follows the first round of the centralised admission process, in which 5,821 students secured admission to law colleges across the state.9,314 students offered seats in second roundThe second CAP list provides seat allotments to students who participated in the preference submission process. Candidates who have been allotted a college must complete the admission process within the specified schedule.Students allotted seats in the second round are required to physically report to their respective colleges between August 31, 2026 and September 2, 2026. They must submit the necessary documents and pay the prescribed admission fees to confirm their seats.The CET Cell has advised candidates to complete the reporting and admission formalities within the stipulated period.First round recorded 5,821 admissionsThe CET Cell said 5,821 students had secured admission through the first round of the CAP for the 3-Year LLB course. This total comprises 5,377 students admitted through the CAP process and 444 students from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.The first-round admission figure forms part of the ongoing state-level admission process for the three-year law programme. The second-round allotment has now been issued based on the preferences submitted by participating candidates.Third-round vacancy details on September 4After the completion of second-round admissions, the CET Cell will announce the tentative vacant seats available for the third round on September 4, 2026.Candidates who do not secure a seat in the second round, or those seeking opportunities in the subsequent round subject to the applicable admission rules, can refer to the vacancy position once it is published by the CET Cell.The 3-Year LLB admission process is being conducted by the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell from its office at the 8th Floor, New Excelsior Building, A.
