Idukki: Idukki district third additional district and sessions court has sentenced a 46-year-old man to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh in a murder case.Judge S S Seena issued the sentence on Binu T., a resident of Nellikkal House at Arapper Mottalayam near Kattadikkavala in Chinthalar, Upputhara village, on Thursday.The incident occurred in July 2020. Binu reportedy attacked Peter of Manalel House at Kappipathal with a knife near the SNDP crematorium on the road near Chinthalar market following a dispute between the two.Peter sustained serious injuries and later died.Then Upputhara police inspector S M Riyas conducted the investigation and filed the chargesheet before the court. Public prosecutor Johnny Alex appeared for the prosecution.
