Kshitij Dholakia, who made his acting debut in television and is joining the cast of Ektaa Kapoor’s supernatural drama Naagin 7, opened up about his spiritual journey, his bond with Ganpati Bappa and a lucky 2026.Kshitij, who was last seen in the reality show ‘Maa Hai Na’, started his career behind the scenes in Bollywood as an assistant director, contributing to major film projects like Sajid Khan’s Humshakals (2014).Talking about his faith, the actor said, “Honestly, I was never a spiritual person. Growing up, I was that kid who never believed in praying. But as I grew up, life changed, my perspective changed. I started believing in God, I started praying, and now I am completely into bhakti, especially when it comes to Ganpati Bappa.”“I have always gone to other people’s houses to seek Bappa’s blessings. I had never brought Ganpati home myself. Then randomly one day, I just decided to get Him home and I did. And today, it is my 4th year of bringing Ganpati home. I feel blessed, I feel genuinely happy,” he added.Kshitij shared that his devotion is not linked to professional success.“I don’t pray to God because I want to be successful or because I want work. I pray because my heart feels like praying. I don’t pray to get my work done through Him. For me, bhakti is not transactional, it’s emotional. It’s about faith, it’s about connection,” he said. The actor called 2026 a lucky year for him.“2026 has been very lucky for me. I did two big shows this year. One was a reality show and the other was Naagin 7. I feel truly blessed, that’s all I can say. A big thank you to Balaji and Ekta ma’am for giving me Naagin 7. It is a huge opportunity and I am grateful for the trust they have shown in me,” he said.Reflecting on his transformation, Kshitij added, “When I look back at my journey, from being a non-believer to someone who now eagerly waits every year to welcome Bappa home, I realise how much I have changed as a person. Bappa has brought so much peace and positivity into my life. The feeling of bringing Him home, doing the sthapana, the aarti, spending those days with Him, it is unexplainable. It grounds me. I am not asking Bappa for more work or more success. I am just thankful for whatever He has given me. Whatever is meant for me will come. Lot more to come, fingers crossed. Nazar na lage.”On the personal front, Kshitij is best known as the son of popular veteran television actress Urvashi Dholakia, famously known for her role as Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. He is also a popular social media influencer with a massive following on Instagram. He frequently creates comedy, lifestyle, and situational reels, often collaborating with his family members and fellow digital creator Priyanka Tyagi.
