This means that Wilderness Bound is likely to release around mid-September.Essentially, it will release as Java Edition 26.3 and Bedrock Edition 26.50. Minecraft Wilderness Bound update features
The Dappled Forest biome
- Dappled Forest is the new biome arriving with the Minecraft Wilderness Bound update, and it is filled with red, orange and yellow Poplar trees. Poplar saplings grow into any one of red, orange, or yellow poplar trees and can be sold by a wandering trader.
- Unstripped poplar logs can also be sold by wandering traders. The biome also features red shrubs, which are bush-like plant blocks found in small patches.
New building blocks
- The update adds wool stairs and slabs, concrete stairs and slabs, straw beds, and cushions to the game. Concrete stairs and concrete slabs round out the update across all sixteen dye colors.
- You can turn hardened concrete blocks into stairs and slabs just like stone, getting the flat architectural gradients that were previously impossible with plain full blocks. It is a long-overdue addition that the building community has been requesting for years.
Straw Beds and Cushions
- Straw Beds are arriving with the new Minecraft update and they allow you to skip a night without changing the respawn point. You can find these beds at the Abandoned Camps or use 3x Hay Bales to craft one.
- Speaking of Cushions, they are a new decorative seat block that pair naturally with Straw Beds to give interiors a soft, homey layer that Minecraft’s blocky palette has always struggled to deliver.
Abandoned Camps
- A new structure called the abandoned camp is being added as part of the Wilderness Bound update. Scattered throughout the Dappled Forest, abandoned camps are small tent-like structures built from wool stairs and featuring chests or barrels to loot.
