30-year-old man found murdered inside Kishanganj house

Patna: A 30-year-old man was allegedly murdered inside his house in Kishanganj district on Saturday morning. The victim, identified as Mohammad Rizwan, was a native of Tangtangi village under Bahadurganj police station area.According to police, Rizwan had built a house near High School Chowk in the Bishanpur police station area, where he was residing at the time of the incident. He sustained severe head injuries, allegedly inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon by unidentified assailants.On receiving information, a team from Bishanpur police station rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. The body was sent for postmortem, while forensic evidence was collected from the crime spot. Police are questioning local residents and gathering information to identify the perpetrators and reconstruct the sequence of events.Station house officer Anjani Kumar Tiwari said the motive behind the murder was yet to be established. “While some locals suspect a family dispute may have led to the killing, investigators have not confirmed any specific angle and are examining all possible motives,” the SHO said.“Prima facie, it appears that the accused sneaked into the house while the victim was asleep and struck him on the head with a sharp weapon. We are yet to receive a formal complaint from the victim’s family,” Tiwari told TOI.The victim’s family has demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible. Police said the probe has been intensified and efforts are on to identify the accused and ascertain the circumstances leading to the murder.
