Status: Not ApprovedHEAD: 24_Vij_SNA_Srikanth-CabinetByline: Srikanth AluriAndhra pradesh cabinet approves sipb investments and amaravati capital works proposalsVijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved a wide range of policy, land allocation and infrastructure proposals, with major decisions centred around State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) clearances and key CRDA-related approvals for Amaravati capital works.Based on the Executive Steering Committee’s recommendations, the Cabinet approved the allotment of 601.4 acres across Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts to 3 Adani SPVs for setting up the 1000 MW AI-focused data centre project proposed by Google’s subsidiary Raiden Infotech Pvt Ltd. APIIC will lease designated endowments land parcels for 30 years after reallocation. SPVs were permitted to proceed as per the DPRs, while 13 policy and regulatory requests will be examined by departments.The Cabinet ratified proposals cleared in the recent SIPB meeting, covering Rs 29,021 crore worth of new investments with the potential to create 23,407 jobs across sectors including renewable energy, semiconductors, hospitality, food processing and industrial manufacturing.In CRDA, the Cabinet approved major works in the Amaravati govt complex. This includes administrative sanctions of ₹424.34 crore for MEP works of the Legislative Assembly building (Super Block E) and ₹556 crore for similar works in the High Court building (Super Block F). The Amaravati Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) was authorised to proceed with land-related decisions based on the ministers’ committee recommendations, ensuring compliance with the Amaravati Land Allotment Rules and Regulations, 2017.The Cabinet further approved free travel under Sthree Shakti, extended to Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) with ≥40% disability and escorts. The 50% concession will continue in services not covered in the scheme. Approval to rename departments and create the Science, Technology & Innovation Department, and permission to consult CEC on Kolleru Wildlife Sanctuary rationalisation, were given by the Cabinet.Among other decisions, the Cabinet approved the proposal to cancel earlier land allotments to Hindustan Coca-Cola, Azad India Mobility, GInfra Precisions, and Jupiter Renewables, while clearing new land allotments to Siri Bionex, Premier Explosives, and Sky Storage Solutions. The proposal for a deadline extension for land cost payments by Reliance Consumer Products, Sify Infinite Spaces, and Raymond Group companies was approved.The Cabinet cleared the proposal for the allotment of 300 acres to Waaree Energy Storage Systems to set up a 16 GWh Li-ion gigafactory. Waaree will invest ₹8,175 crore to set up India’s biggest gigafactory in Anakapalli. The proposed investment is likely to create 3000 jobs.The Cabinet also cleared multiple land allotment proposals, including 3.50 acres to the AP Maritime Board for connectivity to Machilipatnam greenfield port, 10 acres to the Agricultural Marketing Dept for an arecanut market yard at Halukuru, 10 acres to Swaminarayan Gurukul for an international school at Kalluru, and 2.41 acres to APIIC in Chirala. It also approved a private MSME park on 12.31 acres at Kondaveedu by Arsha Dhatu Green Nanotechnologies.GFX:Other key approvals:NaN Greenmet was approved for a Li-ion battery processing unit at Naidupeta (₹1,366 crore; 340 jobs).Action TESA incentives were revised for an MDF/particle board unit at Rambilli (₹1,233 crore).Incentives were cleared for Sigachi Industries and Virupaksha Organics at the Orvakal cluster.Approval was given for the revised AP Leather & Footwear Policy 2025–30, introducing a long-term lease framework for anchor investors.Approval was given for the AP Sick & Stressed MSME Revival Policy (4.0) 2026–31.A GO was amended to transfer 153.77 acres directly to RCRT for the multi-cargo modular rail terminal near Tettu railway station.18.6 acres were allotted to the Kanipakam temple trust.Faculty posts were created in the RMC Kakinada Neonatology Unit.18 Potu Supervisor posts were upgraded in the Endowments Dept.A new women’s govt degree college at Srirangarajapuram will start from 2026-27.Major restructuring of Higher Education & Skill Development departments was approved, including the formation of CHE and CSET.
