The curtain rises on the final trailer for ‘Michael,’ the biopic redefining the narrative of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Jaafar Jackson, who happens to be his nephew, steps into the spotlight, delivering stunning renditions of legendary tracks.

The final trailer of King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s biopic, ‘Michael’, has been released. The film, which stars Jaafar Jackson as his uncle, is set to release in theatres on April 24. In the new trailer, Jafar performs some of the King of Pop’s greatest hits in the latest trailer for Michael.

The trailer, which released April 8, showcases Jaafar, the 29-year-old nephew of pop star who died at 50 in 2009, singing his uncle’s hits like ‘Beat It,’ ‘Thriller,’ ‘Billie Jean,’ and ‘Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough,’ throughout the star’s decades-long career in pop music. The trailer also teased that Jaafar will depict his uncle’s life through the 2000s.

Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson, one of Michael’s brothers and a member of The Jackson 5. Jermaine, 71, was married to Jaafar’s mother between 1995 and 2003. Jaafar makes his acting debut in the biopic from ‘Training Day’ director Antoine Fuqua.While speaking to Interview Magazine, the 39-year-old said that he did not tell his immediate family that he was cast to play his uncle “for a full year” after he won the role. “Going into it I tried my best to say, ‘I’m going to just try to watch without critiquing anything.’”The movie also features supporting performances from Miles Teller, who portrays Jackson’s lawyer and manager John Branca, as well as Colman Domingo as Michael’s father and manager, Joe, Nia Long as Michael’s mother, Katherine, and Kat Graham as fellow Motown star Diana Ross, among others.Prior to this, the first official trailer for ‘Michael’ released in February. The film is set to release on April 24.
