Actor and comedian Alex Duong, known for his appearance in ‘Blue Bloods’, has sadly passed away after a brave battle with a rare form of cancer. He was 42.Duong passed away at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, US Daily reports. The actor reportedly died after going into septic shock the previous day. He breathed his last while surrounded by family and friends.

As per the report, Alex had been diagnosed in 2025 with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive cancer that affected soft tissue. This reportedly led to severe complications, including a malignant mass impacting his optic nerve.News confirming his death was announced on a fundraiser website, organised to support his wife, Cristina, and their five-year-old daughter, Everest. The emotional message read, “We are overwhelmed with gratitude – because of you, we have already reached the original goal. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

It went on to read, “At the same time, with Alex passing, Christina’s situation has become more serious and the financial needs ahead are much greater than we could have anticipated. Alex’s memorial service, Everest’s education needs, ongoing care, daily support, and what lies ahead for his family mean we must continue raising funds beyond this initial goal.”Reaching out for further support, the note read, “If you’ve already given, thank you – truly.
