Dharwad/Bagalkot: The draft electoral roll for the special intensive revision (SIR) 2026 has been published in Dharwad district, covering 13,53,946 voters, district election officer and deputy commissioner Snehal R said.Of the 16,21,961 voters previously registered in the district, details of 13,53,946 electors, accounting for 83.4%, were verified and included in the draft roll.Among the 2,68,015 voters left out, 52,791 were reported dead, 1,25,287 had permanently migrated, 27,185 were duplicate entries, 62,079 were categorised as absent voters, and 673 fell under other categories, she said.With the publication of the draft roll, voters have been given a month, from Aug 24 to Sept 23, to file claims and objections. Eligible citizens can apply for inclusion by submitting Form 6 along with the prescribed declaration form to electoral registration officers, assistant electoral registration officers, or booth-level officers. Applications can also be filed online through the Election Commission’s voter services portal.Bagalkot list has 13.9 lakh votersThe draft electoral rolls for Bagalkot district were published on Monday following completion of the SIR exercise. Excluding ASSD voters, the district has 13,92,523 electors, district election officer and deputy commissioner Sangappa said.The draft rolls comprise 6,93,130 male voters, 6,99,318 female voters and 75 voters in the ‘others’ category. Constituency-wise voter strength stands at: Mudhol (1,84,471), Terdal (2,06,387), Jamkhandi (1,93,267), Bilgi (2,08,155), Badami (2,02,575), Bagalkot (2,02,830) and Hunagund (1,94,838).47,430 voters to get noticesThe Election Commission identified anomaly and no-mapping cases after the digitisation process concluded on Aug 17. Notices will be issued to affected voters, asking them to appear before authorities with supporting documents for verification.A total of 47,430 notices will be served, including 31,039 anomaly cases and 16,391 no-mapping cases, Sangappa said.
