Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘DC’ witnessed another decline during its third Friday.According to Sacnilk, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ earned an estimated India net collection of Rs 4.50 crore on Day 8. The movie was screened across 2,805 shows. Its latest collection is higher than the Rs 4.20 crore recorded on Day 7.The film has now accumulated Rs 86.10 crore in India net collections. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 99.52 crore. The movie added Rs 1.50 crore through overseas markets on Day 8.This has taken the worldwide gross collection of ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ to Rs 149.77 crore.
‘Vishwanath and Sons’ records Day 8 growth
The Suriya starrer had a stronger opening week before experiencing consecutive daily drops. It collected Rs 6.35 crore on Day 5. The figure fell to Rs 5.10 crore on Day 6 and then declined to Rs 4.20 crore on Day 7.The film finished its first week with an India net collection of Rs 81.60 crore. Its Day 8 addition has now pushed the domestic total past Rs 86 crore. The latest figure represents a 7.1% improvement from Thursday.
Telugu version leads Day 8 occupancy
The Telugu version contributed Rs 2.35 crore to the film’s Day 8 India net collection. It was screened across 1,258 shows and recorded an overall occupancy of 36%.The Tamil version earned Rs 2.15 crore from 1,547 shows. Its overall occupancy stood at 26%.The Telugu shows performed best at night. The occupancy reached 51% during that period. Evening shows recorded 41.36%. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the biggest contributors to the film’s Day 8 gross. The combined collection from the two states stood at Rs 2.40 crore.Tamil Nadu generated Rs 1.85 crore. Karnataka contributed Rs 75 lakhs. Kerala added Rs 15 lakhs, while the rest of India contributed Rs 5 lakhs.The total gross collection from these markets reached Rs 5.20 crore on Day 8.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘DC’ had a different path on its third Friday. The Tamil movie collected Rs 1.04 crore in India net earnings on Day 15.According to Sacnilk, the collection was 11.9% lower than the Rs 1.18 crore recorded on Day 14. The movie played across 994 shows.‘DC’ has now earned Rs 62.53 crore in India net collections. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 71.99 crore.
