Nashik: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has announced power outages on Saturday in several parts of the city, as the company will be carrying out the maintenance and repairs of the over head structures.Power supply in parts of the Gangapur Road area will remain suspended on Saturday, Aug 22, from 10am to 4pm due to scheduled maintenance and repair work, said a release from the company today. The shutdown will affect areas powered by the 11 kV Sahadev Nagar and Vidya Vikas feeders, originating from the 132/33 kV Mhasrul substation, under Nashik city division 1.The power cut under the Vidya Vikas feeder will cover Geetanjali Colony, Saubhagya Nagar, KBT Circle, Mama Mungi area, Vidya Vikas Circle, Patil Galli No. 3 and 4, Wagh Guruji School, and adjoining areas.Areas under the Sahadev Nagar feeder, including Datta Mandir Chowk, Suyojit Garden, Sahadev Nagar, Aychit Nagar, Sai Chowk, Dadaji Konddev Nagar, Shantiniketan Colony, Nakshetra Colony, Purnawad Nagar, Bhajibazar Market, Prasad Circle, and nearby localities will also face power disruption.MSEDCL officials stated that power supply will be restored as soon as maintenance work concludes, which may happen before or after the scheduled time-frame, depending on the progress, and requested affected consumers to cooperate during the shutdown.
