Reflecting on her journey, Dia fondly recalled the qualities she values in each of them, touching upon their professionalism, warmth, and the personal influence they’ve had on her life and career. When asked to sum up the actors she’s worked with in just a few words, Dia began with Jimmy Sheirgill, noting that what stands out most about him is his constant growth as an actor. “Over the last 20 years, we’ve done interesting work together. I think the most remarkable thing about him is that he is ever-evolving. It’s beautiful to watch an actor grow, learn and evolve.”

She further noted that Jimmy carries a rare depth as a performer, making him fascinating to watch on screen. “He runs deep and is absolutely fantastic, not just to work with, but to watch on screen. It’s extraordinary.” Dia also had kind words for his off-screen persona, calling him intelligent, disciplined and understated. “He has this quiet quality about him. He doesn’t impose his intelligence on anybody around him, and he is extremely disciplined.“

Moving on to R Madhavan, her co-star from her debut film ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’, Dia looked back on how supported and at ease she felt while shooting the movie at just 19 years old. “He’s a total gentleman. I remember feeling so safe working with him. I was so young, and it was my first film.” Even though the two haven’t collaborated since the beloved romantic drama, Dia shared that Madhavan remains someone she holds dear. “He felt like somebody I could just be myself with. I feel exactly the same way about him even today.”Talking about the lasting love for their debut film, she said, “There will always be a place he has in my heart as someone I shared screen time with in a first film that is so deeply loved. He will always be very, very special to me.”

Dia also expressed her admiration for Amitabh Bachchan, pointing to his discipline and dedication to work. “The first time we worked together, what I admired most about him was his discipline. He’s so hard-working.” She feels that Bachchan’s dedication to his craft sets an example worth following for actors everywhere. “He never has taken a word, a page or a moment for granted. I think that is an extraordinary quality for an actor to have. It’s something we should all imbibe. Never stop being grateful for the opportunities you receive in life and never take them for granted. Always show up prepared. Always respect time.”
Dia Mirza calls Salman Khan the most generous co-star
Speaking about Salman Khan, Dia reminisced fondly about their time together and called him one of the most large-hearted people she has worked with. “I have the most special memories of working with him.” She recalled being struck by how attentive he was towards everyone on set. “I remember how much he cared for the entire crew and how involved he was with all of us.” Dia summed up her feelings about Salman by saying, “I feel like Salman is the most generous person I’ve ever worked with.“
