The Porsche driver claimed pole position and went on to win the first race of the London E-Prix on Saturday. As a result, he not only replaced Andretti’s Jake Dennis at the top of the Drivers’ Standings but also took a five-point lead. Wehrlein considers the job only half done and is keen to maintain the same momentum for the grand finale on Sunday.

Pascal Wehrlein was racing in white and blue at the ExCeL circuit in London on Saturday and had a special helmet made to match his suit.Speaking after his thrilling win in London, Pascal Wehrlein said, “Perfect day with pole position and the race win today. Big thanks to the team, because that’s exactly how we needed to start that weekend: competitive in all practice sessions, very competitive in qualifying, both cars on the front row. And then in the race, obviously, we had the right strategy – boxing late and managing if there was an intervention, and in the end, there was one, so we benefited from that. Then it was just bringing it home.
