Nagpur: MIDC police have registered a case against a 26-year-old technician who repaired mobile phones for allegedly accessing and displaying private photographs and videos of a woman and her husband.As per the 32-year-old complainant, who is a caterer, she had stored personal photographs and videos of her modelling days before marriage on her mobile phone.On August 9, the phone’s touchscreen stopped functioning. She took it to a shop on Hingna Road in MIDC area for repairs. The accused, Sunny Singh, a resident of Ram Nagar, asked her for the screen lock pattern and gave her an old mobile to use temporarily.A few days later, the complainant learnt from shop workers that Singh had viewed the private images and videos of the woman and her husband, and shown them to other employees.When she confronted him, Singh allegedly used filthy language and threatened the woman. She approached Hingna police, who registered the offence on August 10 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for outraging modesty of a woman, intentional insult, criminal intimidation and related offences. Police said the accused is yet to be arrested.
