What makes a work of art complete? Is it the finished piece or the countless moments of experimentation, reflection and discovery that precede it? These questions lie at the heart of Moments That Make Infinity, a new group exhibition that brings together 13 contemporary artists to examine the fragmented and layered process of making and experiencing art.Presented by Tao Art Gallery in collaboration with Burgundy Art Gallery, the exhibition has been curated by Sanjana Shah and Sapna Kar and will remain on view until August 8.The exhibition encourages viewers to look beyond finished artworks and engage with the visual and conceptual moments that gradually come together to form a larger narrative. Presented through a whimsical salon-style display, the show invites audiences to experience art as an evolving process rather than a singular outcome.“Our monsoon exhibition brings together artists who have created small-format works exploring multifaceted themes and their own creative process as a continuation through the displayed series of small works,” said Sanjana Shah, co-curator at Tao Art Gallery. “The connecting thread between the artists is that they are all challenging traditional mediums and conventional displays, moving beyond the completion of the artwork and focussing more on the small moments that make it come together.”Co-curator Sapna Kar of Burgundy Art Gallery said the exhibition encourages viewers to discover meaning not only within individual artworks but also in the relationships between them.

“This curation invites viewers into a layered journey where individual works unfold as interconnected narratives, revealing a larger story through clusters, materiality and dialogue. It offers collectors and art lovers an opportunity to witness how seemingly discrete moments come together to create something expansive and enduring,” she said.The exhibition features works across painting, ceramics, terracotta, sculpture, mixed media, works on paper and hand-embroidered textiles. Participating artists include Akash Choyal, Anjum Motiwala, Anni Kumari, Anwar, Douglas John, Harshit Bondre, Jignesh Panchal, Kanchan Chander, Nahid Merchant, Pooja Bhansali, Vijaya Chauhan, Vinod Daroz and Viraj Khanna.Together, their practices explore themes of memory, identity, spirituality, urban life, perception, femininity, communication and the natural world, highlighting how individual artistic moments can converge to create immersive and enduring experiences.The exhibition is open daily from 11 am to 6.30 pm until August 8.
