Mumbai: The second WAVES (World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit) will be held in Mumbai in February-March, said chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. This is because the weather is good at that time of the year, he added.Fadnavis on Friday held a meeting at his official residence, Varsha, to review the preparations for WAVES 2027.He instructed that responsibilities for the conference be assigned and a specific time limit be set for each task. He asked to ensure that there are no errors in the planning, construction , branding , technical facilities , protocol , transportation , publicity and public relations of the venue.The meeting discussed the MoU, joint coordination committee, partnership model, and increasing the participation of the industry to further strengthen the coordination between the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Government of Maharashtra.Emphasis was also placed on effective use of the conference to attract more investment in the animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC) sector.Fadnavis also directed to plan for the organisation of the conference, including technical infrastructure, mobile-based registration system, integrated digital platform, separate protocol arrangement for international delegates, and implementation of national- and international-level policies for publicity and public relations.
